August 17, 2005 3:32:19 pm Gone. About 5 minutes has elapsed since I left the house - 4 1/2 minutes since I started taping. All is quiet - no cars, dogs, baby strollers, cyclists or pedestrians. This is as it should be, since no major streets pass through this neighbourhood and there are no cross streets here that connect two major roads. And this was a Wednesday, during the summer (i.e. no school), not a weekend. According to David Lawson's book, Terrorist Stalking in America: "When [stalking] groups move into a neighborhood, there is an increase in the number of break-ins, noise, and it will become a high traffic area." <- Previous * Back to beginning |
